Meeting called to order

Old
Business:
- Brief discussion
on Wayne-Centerville Fundraiser. President Siegel is going to contact
jay Minton to make sure Wayne is on board. Centerville seemed to elude
that Wayne may not be on board. He will report back.
- Fishing derby was
discussed, and Bruns will meet with Lynne Zimmerman from the Park District.
He will report back on April 8th.
- Bruns has reserved
the Father Ries Center for the Respect for Law Week dinner. The
dinner will be on Thursday May 6th. Father Reis center is a BYOB event
starting at 6:30 Dinner at 7:00 PM concluding at 9: 00 PM. A special
guest speaker is being planned. Discussion centered on inviting city
council and the mayor, and the Optimist State officers. Please clear
your calendar for this event.
- Cindy Wilson, representing
the Special Wish Foundation addressed us on the fundraiser for leukemia
victim, three year old Maxwell. She spoke to us and asked if we had
any questions. She will submit the grant request in several days.
New Business
- Hoke brought up
a fundraiser called Community Nights with our local Bob
Evans restaurants. We put out the word to our members and friends to
eat at either Huber Heights Bob Evans at a specified day and time and
Bob Evans will donate 15% of the bill to our group. Hoke will get the
times and dates and report back next meeting.
- Next weeks meeting
will be at Frickers Restaurant in the back room.
